Funda London Organises A Special Turkish-Language Wellness Event Exploring The Connection Between The Gut, Body And Mind
Turkish holistic health and performance consultant, author and educator İlker Çağlayan is coming to England on 24 October 2026 for a special experiential workshop exploring the relationship between gut health, the body and the mind.
Organised by Funda Zeytinoğlu, the event, titled “Change Your Gut, Change Your Life,” will take place from 12.00 to 16.00 and will be conducted in Turkish. Designed as an interactive three-to-four-hour experience, the workshop will explore how everyday habits and the gut-body-mind relationship may influence areas including digestion, energy, mood, mental clarity and metabolism.
The event marks an important step in Zeytinoğlu’s developing vision for wellness and community-focused experiences in the UK. After more than two decades in fashion retail, she is expanding her work into a new area centred on bringing people together, encouraging personal development and creating opportunities for meaningful connection.
Her wider philosophy — “Connect. Develop. Grow Together.” — reflects an ambition to create experiences that go beyond traditional seminars. Rather than simply inviting guests to listen to a speaker, Zeytinoğlu wants participants to engage, discover new perspectives and leave with ideas they can apply to their own lives.
Çağlayan brings an unusual combination of Western and Eastern approaches to his work. According to his official website, he studied nutrition, sports nutrition and coaching in the United States and Canada before spending 15 years consulting for pharmaceutical companies in Turkey. He later moved to Shanghai, where he studied Mandarin and traditional Chinese medicine. His areas of interest include gut microbiota, mindful eating, digestion, food-related behaviours and resistance exercise.
He is also the founder of Habit and presents “İlker Çağlayan ile İyi Alışkanlıklar” on beIN Gurme. His work focuses on bringing together nutrition, movement, mindfulness and lifestyle habits as part of a broader approach to wellbeing and performance.
The England workshop will focus particularly on the gut-body-mind connection, inviting participants to look more closely at the relationship between physical wellbeing, mental performance and everyday lifestyle choices.
For Zeytinoğlu, the event is also about creating a welcoming environment in which people can meet others with similar interests.
“I want to create a community where people can feel that they belong, build genuine connections and grow together,” Zeytinoğlu says of the philosophy behind her new wellness projects.
The 24 October gathering will be among the first events in this new chapter of her entrepreneurial journey, combining expert-led learning with the social and community elements that she believes are increasingly important.
With Çağlayan bringing his experience in nutrition, mindfulness, movement and holistic wellbeing to a UK audience, “Change Your Gut, Change Your Life” is set to offer participants an afternoon of learning, reflection and practical exploration.
